3D FlipBook - Open a file in filesystem with 3D fipbook

Am developping with eclipse and I have put flipbook folder in my workspace(WebContent folder of my project). But am not able to open files that are in another folder. Let's say /home/toto/Desktop/swing.pdf is the path to the file i want to open. Please help. Thanks
