When I import a PDF (35MB to 40MB) to this plugin the display is of the document is blurry and washed out (loses its clarity). Even when zoomed in, still looks blurry and washed out (not clear). How can I ensure the imported and processed PDF document retains its clarity in normal and zoom mode? Also, is there a way to set defaults so I don’t have to change document display size settings for each new document (PDF) added to the website using this plugin? I want the PDF to be as large and clearly legible as possible on a page post, but seems to be confined to only the controls area.

Here is an example: http://getawesomeproducts.com/tcv/2-13-18/

Hi,

In v 1.9 i will add auto resolution during zoom – this will solve the blur problem.

In current version you can increase the texture resolution: Sheet properties – widthTexels and heightTexels.

“Also, is there a way to set defaults so I don’t have to change document display size settings for each new document (PDF) added to the website using this plugin” – What do you mean: change the container size or zoom?

Best regards,

Ivan.

Hi, When do you anticipate the new resolution feature in version 1.9 will become available? If you notice from my provided link, when you zoom in only retains the box for the PDF document. I want to be able to make the box larger so more of the PDF when zoomed is shown and not confined. I have this set to fullwidth, so I would hope for a larger full screen display of the PDF document.

Hi,

Probably in next week.

You need to change size of the book container, by default it takes all available width and set height in 4×3 proportions.

Ivan.

Hi, how come the “Select PDF” is grayed-out and not selectable after I add a PDF and want to change it to another PDF? How can I select another PDF from media library after publish or update for specific book post without having to delete and create new PDF post each time? I see size configurations for each individual PDF post, how can I set default in settings for all future posts without having to change or modify them individually for each new add?

Hi, I installed version 1.9, desktop looks clearer for PDF, but mobile (particularly iPhone 7 Plus Retina) is still blurry and washed out for PDF when zoomed in.

Hi, I’ve updated plugin from 1.9.0 to 1.9.2 plugin. Mobile still looks blurry and washed out when max zoom on PDFs. What settings for Max Zoom do you recommend for best balance between both desktop & mobile? Do I need to upload all of the PDFs once again with each new plugin update so the file can be processed under the newer version to correct display issues? What is required to resolve the blurry & washed out look on mobile? Desktop seems to look fine at present.

Hi,

You do not need to recreate the books. I tested your PDF with Max Zoom = 4 it was fine.

Best regards,

Ivan.
