My hosting company is also having issues with the plugin. Here is there message to me: The download file isn’t in the WordPress plugin format. We had to do some file management work to get it into the correct format. We can’t be the only company getting updates this way. Can you ask CodeCanyon about this and see if an update is available in the WordPress plugin format or perhaps they have alternate install instructions.

Remove the light version. Extract the paid archive and install the archive from the ‘dist’ catalog in the extracted folder.
This is no clear. I removed the lite version and tried to install the zip file but with same result as M***o@cen.net, What does "install the archive from the ‘dist’ catalog" mean?? not a clear explanation for a beginner.
You need to extract the paid archive and install 3d-flip-book.zip.
Figured it out - after you download the ZIP File, extract it It will create a new ZIP folder that contains the extracted files. When you are in WordPress select Upload File in Plugins and choose the new Zipped folder. Bizarre workflow. Not standard and not intuitive.
