I've just installed the free version of this plugin, however the thumbnail and lightbox view mode doesnt work - is this not available on the free plan? Also, the thumbnail view mode is tiny and doesnt have a link attached to it therefore, the PDF doesnt work

It works in both. Check with one of default themes.
